MELBOURNE FRINGE FESTIVAL 2024 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Dates: 8 October to 19 October 2024 Tue-Sat

WHO ARE WE?

Queen Victoria Women’s Centre’s vision is that all women* and gender diverse people have a place where they are welcomed, valued and celebrated and have the power to determine their present and future. Our purpose is to hold and create space for Victorian women and gender diverse people to thrive. We are a not-for-profit state government agency conserving a heritage listed building. We are the Centre for gender equality in Melbourne.

*when we say ‘women’ it always includes trans and gender diverse women and sistergirls.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Queen Victoria Women’s Centre is seeking expressions of interest for events or performances as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2024. We will program with reference to the Centre’s strategic plan. Interstate and international artists are welcome to submit interest.

We are interested in feminist works exploring gender equality or with a gender lens in all forms: cabaret, stand-up comedy, song, poetry, theatre, talks, site-specific exploration and more! We want to hear from you if you’re interested in working with us! Our preferences are 60 minute shows due to our venues hosting back-to-back shows, however there is flexibility if you have a longer work and we know in advance.
